Hardware Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Department: Hardware

Employment Type: Full Time

Experience: 4+ years

About the Role

We're looking for a hardware engineer to design and validate the electrical and mechanical systems behind Hoomanely's connected devices, working closely with firmware and industrial design to take products from schematic to a reliable, mass-manufactured device.

What You'll Do

  • hat You'll Do
  • Design and validate schematics and PCB layouts for sensor-driven consumer hardware, including power, battery charging, and signal integrity
  • Select and integrate sensors — thermal imagers, IMUs, cameras — ensuring correct electrical interfacing with the compute module
  • Design safe battery charging paths, thermal cutoff mechanisms, and power budgets that hold up under continuous real-world use
  • Design clock trees and signal paths that stay stable across crystal tolerance drift and environmental variation
  • Work with contract manufacturers on DFM and DFT, and support bring-up, debugging, and yield improvement during production runs
  • Build and run test fixtures to validate hardware performance, reliability, and compliance requirements
  • Work closely with firmware, industrial design, and ML teams to make sure the hardware supports the sensing accuracy the product depends on

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Qualifying Degree: B.Tech from a Tier 1

Why Join Us?

  • Design hardware that ends up in the hands (and homes) of real pet parents — not a reference board that never ships
  • Own real pieces of a product taken from schematic to mass manufacturing
  • Take ownership early, with a direct line to firmware, industrial design, and founding leadership
  • Join a small, fast-moving team building a category-defining, sensor-driven product
